What you need to run the LoW tech demo:

Please note that if you build LoW from CVS, it is very important that you keep your data files updated (except for the always optional music files) because the latest bleeding-edge code might require the very latest data files to run at all.

Please note: If you have an AMD K6 or Athlon CPU, you must use the -i586- versions of the binaries, not -i686-. Otherwise, you will get "Illegal Instructions" errors.

As far as installation instructions go: just unzip everything in the same directory. Note that you will need to have the files of the original UW2 handy for completing the installation, as outlined in the readme file.

If you have an platform other than Windows or Linux, you can grab and build the source from the Sourceforge project page and build it yourself. You will still need to download the media and 3d files above to run the compiled program, however.
